We Build Character Is Accepting Applications for Elevate Mentoring Programs

CLARKSTON -- The mentorship program We Build Character is now accepting applications for its 2012-13 Elevate Mentoring Programs.

This year, We Build Character is running two concurrent programs: Elevate CIO Executive Mentoring Program and Elevate Young Professionals Program for Challenge Detroit.

These mentoring programs set the national standard for delivery of non-traditional learning experiences through contributions from a diverse set of collaborators.

The Elevate Programs connect candidate leaders with role models, build and reinforce management and leadership capabilities, leverage the knowledge of a mature workforce and uncover and tap into local resource networks.

The Elevate Programs foster talent to help retain competitive statewide human resources. These 12-month Mentoring programs are designed for: * Mentee/Protégé -- career-minded, entrepreneurial-spirited individuals with a desire for professional development * Mentors -- experienced, successful professionals who have the ability to fill the role of a coach, share work-life experiences, and who are looking to give back to the community * Executive Sponsors -- persons of influence to support a Mentee/Protégé

Upon completion of the program, Mentees will have participated in monthly leadership workshops, a community pay-it-forward project, an industry conference, and quarterly networking events. These programs are designed to enable the Mentees to draw from their learning experiences, to further enhance their professional development, and to retain talent in the State of Michigan. The programs begin in September 2012. Space is limited to support the quality of the curriculum. For more information and to complete an application, please visit webuildcharacter.org or contact Donna Ventimiglia, Executive Director, at info@webuildcharacter.org. Applications are accepted through June 30, 2012.
