The Lions signed Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore immediately after the draft, but Schwartz said last week there was no guarantee he would carry three quarterbacks this season. “Nothing is planned,” he said. “We will see how it shakes out. We will keep our best 53 players. To make that decision now is not a wise decision. Last year we kept three quarterbacks. That doesn’t mean we will keep three quarterbacks this year and it doesn’t mean we will keep two. It depends on who earns a spot.”
