Relume Moves To Larger HQ

OXFORD -- Relume Technologies, a manufacturer of light-emitting diode products and smart grid control systems for outdoor lighting, is moving to a larger headquartesr that will allow more space for both manufacturing and customer service. The move will keep the company in Oxford.

"Current manufacturing needs and future business forecasts require a larger and more up-to-date facility," said Relume CEO Crawford Lipsey. "It's great news for our company and community, and we thank our employees and customers for supporting us during this time of rapid growth."

Relume's new home will feature lean manufacturing practices and tools to reduce cost, increase productivity, and improve quality throughout the operation.

"Relume continuously strives to be a lean organization and we are excited to move into a space that will allow us to further implement lean manufacturing practices," said Jason Bailey, manufacturing manager and lean principles expert at Relume. "The new facility's larger and improved layout enables better organized workstations, a more efficient flow of materials and the ability to increase capacity as the company grows."

The new headquarters, at 1795 N. Lapeer Road in Oxford, will also host a permanent showcase of Relume products. The company's new address is effective June 1.

Relume manufactures highly efficient, environmentally friendly, and cost effective LED lighting products and control systems. The company's innovative technology is used in municipal lighting, commercial signage, outdoor advertising, transportation, and U.S. military applications. Relume's products are American-made, ISO 9001:2008 certified and carry an industry leading seven year warranty.
