Reward Offered In Case Of Murdered Transgender Woman

DETROIT (WWJ) – Who killed Coco? Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information in the death of a transgender woman whose body was found outside a Detroit home last month.

Detroit police say 34-year-old Coco Williams, born Norman Williams, was found fatally shot on the morning of April 3  on West coco williams Reward Offered In Case Of Murdered Transgender Woman Parkhurst Street near 6 Mile Road and Woodward Ave.

Coco William’s oldest sister Nedra Williams says Coco’s death hit her hard.

“All of my family has always respected Coco in that nature and I protected Coco like my child for all these years,” Williams told reporters Thursday. “And I feel like my child has been taken away … my best friend has just been taken away.”

Anyone with information can call Detroit Police or 1-800-SPEAK-UP. If the tip is called in by midnight Thursday, the reward will rise to $3,500. Tips may also be submitted online at or by texting CSM and your tips to CRIMES (274637).

Tipsters who contact Crime Stoppers may remain anonymous and still receive the reward.
