1. Denard Robinson, quarterback, Michigan – Although his consistency as a passer remains in question, Robinson is nonetheless a tremendous playmaker. He deserves his status as a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate.
2. William Gholston, defensive end, Michigan State – Gholston is huge (6-foot-7, 275 pounds), extremely athletic for his size and has a mean streak. He’s the total package for his position. An exceptional player.
3. Max Bullough, linebacker, Michigan State – Bullough was second-team All-Big Ten last year. He will be first team this year as a junior, perhaps even an All-American. Underrated in a sense.
