OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) – Know before you go, beginning Wednesday. The Road Commission for Oakland County is planning to close Cooley Lake Road — from just east of Duck Lake Road to west of Carey Road.

MDOT says the closure is necessary while crews pave that section of the road.

The road is expected to reopen sometime in November.

In the meantime, the suggested detour is Duck Lake road to Commerce Road to Carey Road and back to Cooley Lake Road. Just do the opposite when you’re heading in the other direction.
