Get Your Guide To Michigan Movie Sites

DETROIT (WWJ) - Sites in Downtown Detroit have been the focus of more than 60 feature films, television series and other productions in the last few years -- and now you'll be able to get a map to those sights from the Michigan Film Office.

The Detroit film locations tour map features sports from well-known movies including Transformers 3, Ides of March, Conviction and Five Year Engagement and TV shows including Detroit 187.

"All of the locations on the map are exterior locations, so they're places that you will actually see in the movie and recognize from the film," said Film Office spokeswoman Michelle Begnoche.

Begnoche said Detroit has also doubled for cities such as New York, Boston, Las Vegas and Paris.

You can pick up a map at Detroit tourism organizations, including Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, D:hive, Feet on the Street Tours and Wheelhouse Detroit Bike Shop. Electronic copies of the map will also be available on the Film Office website, michigan.org and the Michigan Advantage website.
