Missing Girl Found Near Lansing

LANSING (WWJ) – An Amber Alert for a missing 12-year old girl from Kansas is over after the young girl was  found Friday near Lansing.

An alert driver called police when he noticed the Chevy Impala with a Canadian license plate in Eaton County .

The 20-year-old she was with, Kenneth McGill, who allegedly abducted her, is now in police custody.

Brandy Gray had been missing since Thursday morning. Michigan State Police Leutenant T.J. Regal says she and McGill were spotted in a Chevy Impala Friday.

“A passerby had observed what they thought was the vehicle – west of Lansing,” said Regal.

“The individual that Brandy was with is apparently from Canada and may have passed through Michigan on his way to Kansas and on his way back,” said Regal.

Regal says it’s not yet clear why McGill may have abducted the girl.
