Semi Flips, Shuts Down Freeway Ramp

LIVONIA (WWJ) - The eastbound M-14 ramp to I-275 was closed for hours after a semi truck flipped, blocking the roadway.

WWJ's Bill Szumanski reported the accident happened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday and police shut the ramp down just before 6:30 a.m.

Slow traffic was reported in the area in eastbound M-14 and I-96 between Sheldon and Newburg roads as crews worked to clear the scene.

Szumanski said firefighters had to bust through the truck's windshield to get the driver out, but he's OK.

No one else was injured.

The ramp remained closed at 10:30 a.m.
