57 Years Later: Metro Detroit Woman Finds Her Family

DAVISBURG (WWJ) - After nearly 60 years apart, Robin Hoover of Davisburg is finally being reunited with her family.

All it took was one phone call for Hoover to find out about her brother and that phone call led her to her sister.

"That's it, it was so easy," Hoover told WWJ Newsradio 950's Kathryn Larson. "And here I was trying to hard and hitting roadblocks. And all it took was getting the information to one person and in less than 24 hours I had everything I needed."

Hoover, now 57, was only 5 months old when her parents were killed in a horrible accident. Shortly after she was adopted.

Years later Hoover learned that she had siblings.

Sadly her brother had died. But over Memorial Day weekend the two sisters met."And when we walked in the house her husband looked at me and said, 'Oh my God, there's two of you.'"

For Father's Day she's traveling to Arizona to meet her father's family.
