Wooley's Weekly Winners: Tiger, OKC Thunder

By: Ryan Wooley

With the Stanley Cup Finals nearing a close and the NBA Finals just getting sit to tip off, it means another week has come to a close and it's time to bring you my Weekly Winner. As always, feel free to leave a comment below or follow me on Twitter @WooleyMammoth85 and let me know if you agree with my picks or if you would add anybody else and why.

Tiger Woods

It's no secret that the old Tiger Woods seemingly lost his game once his divorce was final, but this past Sunday he gave us a glimpse that maybe he is on his way back after winning The Memorial. He was in the hunt all weekend long and entered the final round four shots off the pace and eventually was behind two shots with three holes to go, until he made a miraculous shot on 16 that can only be described as unbelievable. The win now ties Tiger for second in all-time PGA Tour wins with Jack Nicklaus at 73, and sets the stage for him to finally capture a win at a Major.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Many pundits said Oklahoma City was the best team during the regular season, while most said they were the second best in the playoffs behind San Antonio. Many said they were too young, inexperienced and untested—yet here they're in the Finals. The Thunder not only did something that nobody thought they would, which was beat the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals, but they did it by handing the Spurs their first four game losing streak of the season after they took the first two games of the series! If that's not worthy of being on my weekly winner list, than I don't know what is.

97.1 "The Ticket Program Director Jimmy Powers

I'm sure some will say I'm just sucking up to my boss, but what Jimmy Powers did by sinking a hole-in-one during the Detroit Lions golf invitational this week is something that most people don't get to experience in their lifetime. On top of that, not only does he have bragging rights for nailing the shot, but he also walked away with a brand new car! So since you're on cloud nine Jimmy, how about that pay raise…?
