DETROIT (WWJ) – “Get your lemonade … get your lemonade,” yell some young entrepreneurs.
That’s the reason you might be hearing that call and seeing a lot of lemonade stands throughout metro Detroit Saturday as part of “Lemonade Day Detroit.”
Kids like 11-year-old Javon Chambers are learning some business skills:
“I like it a lot, it gives you a chance to advertise – do a lot of business things that help you when you grow up,” said Chambers. “If you work at a business it will teach you a lot of things.”
Chambers was helping run “Grand Dad’s Lemonade” in Eastern Market, where they’re selling lemonade for a buck fifty a cup.
