Court Proceedings Continue For Handyman Charged In Jane Bashara Murder

DETROIT (WWJ) – Court proceedings continue Monday in the case of a Grosse Pointe Park woman who was murdered in January.

A judge will decide if the handyman, who police say confessed to killing Jane Bashara, is competent enough to stand trial. Reports say Joe Gentz told investigators that he was forced to kill Jane under the order of her husband, Bob.

Gentz is charged with first-degree murder.

Bob Bashara continues to be a person of interest in the case.
