Toddler Hurt In Jet Ski Crash

WEST BLOOMFIELD TWP. (AP) - Authorities say a 3-year-old boy accidentally hit the throttle on a personal watercraft, injuring his 3-year-old brother who was sitting on another one in a suburban Detroit lake.

The Oakland Press of Pontiac reports the collision happened Sunday as the boys' parents were walking the personal watercraft back to their hoists in shallow water of Cass Lake in Oakland County's West Bloomfield Township. The injured boy was taken to a hospital after bumping his head and cutting his chin.

The boys had been riding with their parents. Sgt. Kevin Roy of the West Bloomfield Police Department described the collision as a "relatively minor accident."
