Detroit Lions Go Fishing

Today the Detroit Lions kicked off the Inaugural Detroit Lions/Kevin VanDam Charity Fishing Tournament presented by Bass Pro Shops. Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz, Kyle Vanden Bosch, Nate Burleson, Jahvid Best and many of the other Lions went out to Kensington Metropark on Kent Lake in Milford, Mich earlier this afternoon.

Jim Schwartz talked at Lions minicamp this morning saying "to be able to fish with a guy like Kevin Van Dam who is ya know, the best in the world at what he does, I have a lot of respect for the best in the world." Schwartz was paired up in VanDam's boat.

Nate Burleson also talked at minicamp about fishing and he doesn't have too much practice at it. "Even though I'm from Seattle I'm not really a good fisherman, is that what you call it?" Burleson went on to talk about how he still wants to be the best. "I might go out there and catch the biggest fish, I'm all about being the best, and I'm going out there trying to be the Calvin Johnson of the water.
