EV Battery Tech USA Conference Coming To Michigan: The EV Battery Tech USA Conference will be held Sept. 25 and 26 at the Ann Arbor Marriott at Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti. Automakers and industry stakeholders continue to push the boundaries in reducing the cost of the EV battery, and drive technological innovation to rival internal combustion engine performance capability. Indeed the latest reports show that the average price of a lithium-ion battery pack for electric vehicles was $689/kWh at the beginning of the year, down from approximately $800/kWh in 2011 and 30 percent lower than 2009 levels of over $1000/kWh.Should these trends continue, the cost of lithium-ion batteries could drop as low as $150/kWh by 2030, significantly widening the appeal of EVs. This year’s version includes new and more senior speakers, a battery manufacturers discussion panel, increased vehicle-level analysis, alternative-platform battery applications, interactive and smaller group tracked sessions, a networking gala dinner, and more. For group registrations or to enquire about joining the Exhibitor Showcase at the Summit, call (800)  721-3915 or email info@american-business-conferences.com.
