Top Five Places To Watch The Tigers On The Road

By: Dennis Fithian

Tons of Detroit Tigers fans picked out Cincinnati and Chicago to go watch the Tigers play on the road. My top five places to watch Detroit play when they are not at Comerica Park follow.

1. Wrigley Field, Centerfield bleachers. You don't have to like the Cubs to take the game in from a vantage point that makes you feel like you are at Tigers Stadium, pre-1970 before Detroit added the blue and orange seats.

2. Fenway Park, Green Monster boxes. You have to cough up your first born after winning a lottery but those seats in that venue, can't be beat. Either can the fries just across the street behind the monster.

3. Yankee Stadium, behind home plate. These tickets are pricey to be sure but no team offers the history that the Yanks do. I'd pick the seats behind the plate because the being in the stands is part of the experience. No other place is the focus on what's on the field as Yankee Stadium does.

4. Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Right Field. Anywhere up front in the upper deck in Tigers Stadium is memorable. The right field over hang in Texas was modeled after Tigers Stadium.

5. AT&T Park, Outfield. Park looks awesome but being able to look out at the ocean then turn back watch baseball seems to be ideal.
