PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP (WWJ)– A 79-year-old South Lyon resident has been killed in an accident in Plymouth Township.
It happened at 7:20 a.m. Monday at 5 Mile Road and Beck.
Plymouth Township police said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash that involved a 1999 Ford Explorer and a 1996 Peterbilt tractor-trailer.
Police aren’t saying much else about the accident except that the other driver, a 40-year-old Westland resident, was unhurt.
No names have been released as authorities work to locate the victim’s family.
Traffic was slow in the area Monday morning, the scene has since been cleared.
The accident remains under investigation.
