ANN ARBOR — ReCellular Inc. announced that it has relaunched its Enterprise business unit, which provides secure services for the corporate level trade-in of used cell phones, laptops and other portable electronic devices.

The redefined Enterprise business unit offers industry leading data security, maximizes the monetary value of used portable electronic devices and is committed to protecting the environment when the time comes for device disposal and recycling.

“I am enthusiastic about the relaunch and the sense of renewed focus surrounding our Enterprise business unit,” said Eric Miller, vice president of sales and marketing at ReCellular. “I want to stress that we are not new players in this space — we have maintained key business relationships with Fortune 500 and mid-size enterprises for over 20 years. The ReCellular Enterprise business unit is specially equipped to handle the needs of corporate customers who must safely and responsibly dispose of portable electronic devices. All devices collected by the Enterprise business unit are first thoroughly scrubbed of sensitive information using ReCellular’s proprietary Data Eraser software, and then the devices are either reused or recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.”

Wireless industry veteran Michael Clancy has been named director, Enterprise Channel, at ReCellular. Clancy brings with him decades of experience handling the unique needs of corporate level telecommunications equipment management.

“My role is to align ReCellular’s unequaled operational scale and industry leading capabilities to address the needs of business customers in a closed loop solution,” said Clancy. “I see my main responsibility as balancing data protection, fully monetizing used portable electronic assets and facilitating responsible device disposition and recycling.”

With offices in the United States and Hong Kong, ReCellular is the world’s leading electronics sustainability firm. ReCellular provides solutions for the collection, reuse and recycling of used personal electronics that generate financial return for our partners, quality products for our customers, funding for charity organizations and protection of the environment.
