Teen Boy Missing In Washtenaw County

YPSILANTI TWP. (WWJ) - UPDATE - 6/20, 9 a.m.: A Washtenaw County teenager who had been missing since Saturday has been found safe, according to a statement by Washtenaw County Sheriff's officials.  No other details were available.

Authorities in Washtenaw County are searching for a 13-year-old boy who walked away from his family's Ypsilanti Twp. home over the weekend.

According to Washtenaw County Sheriff's officials, Christopher Currie did not take any clothing or personal items with him when he left the house on Lamay at around 4:30 p.m. last Saturday.

He also left his allergy medication behind.

Family members haven't seen or heard from him since. He doesn't have a cell phone.

Christopher is 5'3, 110 lbs. It's not known what he was wearing at the time of his disappearance. The photo at left is about 6 months old.
