Letterman Won't Let Up On LeBron

By: Sara

LeBron James (along with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh) has been making his way through the TV talk show circuit to celebrate the NBA Championship win for the Miami Heat. Publicly low profile for a while, LeBron even put himself on a twitter freeze during the post season, but he started off with a bang on his Tuesday night "Late Show" appearance as the audience erupted into a standing ovation. Letterman himself was a little (teasingly) tougher on his guest about the elephant that is still in the room...an elephant named Cleveland.

Dave started the interview in classic Letterman style by asking, "Well, now that you've got this out of your system, are you ready to go back to Cleveland and play some ball?"

LeBron laughed it off and responded, "Right now, I'll play no ball right now."

But Letterman was not ready to let it go, and asked LeBron if it would have meant more if he could have won a championship with the Cavs. LeBron stayed safe with his answer and said, "I think, the feeling that I had on Thursday, I could have been on Mars and won that championship and felt amazing. It was better than I expected."

Finally Dave decided to play nice as he joked, "You must have got tired of punks like me wising off." LeBron kept it classy and responded that he thinks Letterman is "a great man."
