Pistons Eye Another Productive Draft Pick

DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Pistons have missed the playoffs the last three seasons and the draft lottery has given them little chance at a quick fix.
The Pistons have slowly tried to rebuild their roster, adding Greg Monroe with the seventh pick in 2010 and Brandon Knight with the eighth pick a year ago.
This year Detroit is at No. 9 in Thursday night's draft. The Pistons already made one big move this week, trading Ben Gordon on Tuesday.
Monroe and Knight have both shown promise, and president of basketball operations Joe Dumars says the Pistons are prepared to take the best player on the board when it's their turn this year.
