ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) – A famed monk will be in town this weekend giving tips on how to live a happier life.
Lama Marut said the key is having a more positive understanding of the past and anticipation of the future.
“If we’re interested in relaxing more about the future and living happier in the present be very attentive to creating the kind of causes in the present that will result in a happy future,” Marut told WWJ Newsradio 950.
As for the past, Marut said you can’t change it, but… “We can reinterpret memories through methods for forgiveness on the one hand and gratitude on the other,” he said.
Marut will deliver those and other messages Friday and Saturday at Yoga studios in Mount Clemens and Chesterfield.
His lessons can also be found in his new book, “A Spiritual Renegade’s Guide to the Good Life.”
