Former Lions CB, Eric Wright, Charged With Felony DUI

DETROIT (97.1 The Ticket) - Well, at least this time it wasn't a Detroit Lion, well not a current player anyway.

Former Detroit Lions cornerback Eric Wright was arrested on a felony DUI charge in Los Angeles on Monday.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Wright told officers that he had been drinking earlier in the day, after being involved in an accident near the Staples Center. Wright refused a breathalyzer and/or sobriety test.

The former Lion signed a five-year, $37 million contract with the Tampa Bucs as a free agent.

The Lions have had their own share of off the field issues with players; the most recent being cornerback Aaron Berry who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of causing accidental damage to an unattended vehicle or property and two counts of failure to stop and give information to law enforcement.
