Prices At Pump Continue To Fall Nearing Holiday

DETROIT (WWJ) – If you drive up north this Fourth of July it should cost you a whole lot less than last year as the price at the gas pump continues to drop ahead of the holiday.

AAA Michigan says the statewide average this week is $3.41 per gallon, down about 14 cents from last week… and down about 34 cents from last year at this time.

Of the cities it surveys, AAA Michigan says the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel is in the Traverse City area, where it’s $3.23 a gallon. The highest average is in the Marquette area at $3.58.

AAA Michigan surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily.
