Discount Tickets Now On Sale For Great Lakes State Fair
NOVI (WWJ) - Online discount tickets are now on sale for the Great Lakes State Fair, which will take place Aug. 31 through Sept. 3 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
Tickets can be purchased at www.GreatLakesStateFair.org until Aug. 30 and are discounted off the gate prices.
Ticket prices are as follows:
For livestock and indoor exhibits, entertainment and Beer Garden only:
- In advance: $6 – Adults; $5 – Children 3 to 12
- At the gate: $8 – Adults; $6 – Children 3 to 12
For all exhibits and entertainment, circus and unlimited midway rides:
- In advance: $25 – Adults and children over 12; $20 – Children 3 to 12
- At the gate: $30 – Adults and children over 12; $25 – Children 3 to 12
There is no charge for children 2 and under.
The family-focused event will be jam-packed with all the typical excitement of previous State Fairs, including animals, agriculture, Michigan-made products, food and beverages, entertainment, a midway and carnival rides by Arnold Amusements, a Michigan based company.
The Great Lakes State Fair has also partnered with the Shriners to hold The Detroit Shrine Circus under the Big Top during the fair, with tickets included in the all-inclusive admission price. There will be plenty of additional parking available for the duration of the event.
The Michigan State Fair, which debuted in Detroit in 1849, was one of the oldest state fairs in the United States. It moved permanently to the Michigan State Fairgrounds on Woodward Avenue in 1905 and was held there until 2009.
