Police ID Man Found Dead In Anchor Bay

IRA TWP. (WWJ/AP) - Authorities have identified an Oakland County man whose body was found floating near shore in Lake St. Clair's Anchor Bay.

The St. Clair County Sheriff Department said the body of 57-year-old Scott Gordon, of Rochester Hills, was found in about four feet of water around 12:30 p.m. Thursday behind the Lakeview Motel in Ira Township, about 25 miles northeast of Detroit.

Investigators say Gordon was last seen at the motel Wednesday night. He supposedly checked into the motel on Sunday.

An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

Sheriff's officials believe alcohol may have been a factor in Gordon's death.
