Sarah Palin To Address Michigan Event Saturday

LANSING (AP) - Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be the keynote speaker Saturday at a tea party event raising money for wounded soldiers.

Willow Run Tea Party Caucus director Dennis Moore told The Associated Press on Monday that Palin has confirmed she'll attend.

The Patriots in the Park event runs from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Belleville. It's sponsored by Americans for Prosperity-Michigan and the Willow Run Tea Party Caucus.

The event is free, but contributions will be collected for The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.

Other speakers include Troy Mayor Janice Daniels, Union Conservatives founder Terry Bowman, state Sen. Patrick Colbeck of Wayne County's Canton Township and leaders from Americans for Prosperity and tea party groups.

Campsites are available at the fairgrounds.
