89-Year-Old Dead After Apparently Shooting Wife In Murder-Suicide Attempt
JACKSON (WWJ) - Police in Jackson County are investigating what they think is an attempted murder/suicide.
Deputies were called to the Ridge Crest Heath Center in Summit Township on a report of a shooting.
An initial investigation indicates that an 89-year-old man entered the room of his 87-year-old wife and shot her with a handgun. He then reportedly turned the gun on himself.
The woman was transported to a nearly hospital in critical condition.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
