High Chairs Recalled After Injury Reports
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) – A warning for parents — check your kid’s high-chair.
More than 485,000 Chicco Polly high chairs are being recalled after a design flaw led to children getting cuts and bruises. Importer Artsana USA says they know of 21 kids getting injured from falling against pegs on the back legs of the chairs. Four children got cuts
serious enough to require stitches, and one had a scratched cornea.
The high-chairs were made in China and sold at major chains including Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory, Buy Buy Baby, Shopko and Toys R Us, as well as online outlets including Albeebaby.com, Amazon.com, Babyage.com, Babysupermart.com, Diapers.com and Target.com.
The company will provide free kits to cover the pegs. Requests may be made online at this link or by calling 800-807-8817 during regular business hours.
