DETROIT (WWJ) – A bomb squad was called to Detroit’s Cobo Center Monday morning to investigate a suspicious package.
Detroit Police said the package, which was addressed to someone, turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary.
The security threat briefly shut down traffic at Jefferson Avenue between Shelby and Washington — but the roadway has since been reopens.
Further details about the package that was found at about 10 a.m. were not immediatly available.
Police and fire crews had left the scene and things were back to normal at the convention center by 1:15 p.m.
