1. Because he struggled in a couple of his early major league starts, and has battled injury issues, some fans wrote off Turner, but he has come on lately. He is a legitimate premier prospect.
2. He pitched well in his major league debut last season against the Angels.
3. If Turner pitches well, he may fill a role for the Tigers, rather than forcing them to trade for a veteran starting pitcher.
