Bike Ride Leads To Case Of Road Rage For 2 Men

FERNDALE (AP) - Ferndale Police are reporting a road rage incident between two men, both riding bicycles. But one man is accused of pulling a knife on the other.

Police say 69-year-old David Simmons of Oak Park and a 29-year-old Ferndale man were riding on Nine Mile Road last Friday, when Simmons said the other man cut him off.

Police say Simmons yelled an obscenity and the younger man rode off, but later confronted Simmons on foot.
Police say that's when Simmons waved a pocket knife at the Ferndale man.

Simmons is free on bond on a felony assault charge.
