CRT Medical Systems Continues Growth With New Acquisition

NOVI -- CRT Medical Systems, Inc., now the largest multi-specialty medical billing company in Michigan, announces the closing of its acquisition of Continuum Management Services Inc. a 15 year-old billing company that had been headquartered in Dearborn, in a combination of the two leading medical business technology companies based in Southeast Michigan.

This acquisition increases CRT's revenue by 40 percent.  It also adds to the company's growing employee base, with a net increase of 40 jobs.  CRT will now handle more than $500 million in annual claims for more than 1200 providers.

CRT will now operate two offices – its headquarters office in Novi and a former CMS office in Clinton Township that will serve clients on the East Side of Metro Detroit.

"This acquisition allows CRT to serve more private medical practices and help them achieve profitability, independence and financial viability," said David Doyle, CEO of CRT Medical Systems, who founded the company in 1980.  "We are bringing our clients more resources, more technology and more expertise. Having a strong company like CRT in the marketplace, helping independent physicians, is also good for patients. Next to your family, your doctor is the most important relationship in your life. If your doctor has the choice to be independent, your doctor will have the freedom to help you make important decisions. Private practice physicians can put patients first and advocate for them."

The Healthcare Billing and Management Association recently recognized CRT Medical Systems as of the top 50 largest billing companies in the nation.
