Man Dies Following Drive-by Shooting In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) – A Detroit man is dead after a drive-by shooting — and now police are searching for the gunman.

Detroit Police Sergeant Eren Stephens tells WWJ Newsradio 950 that the 29-year-old man was standing outside of a house on Conley, in the area of Six Mile and Nevada, when shots were fired from a passing vehicle. It’s the second fatal shooting on the block in a matter of days.

Police believe the weapon was an AK-47, based on bullet casings left at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
