Police Make Arrest In Rape Of Pontiac Teen

PONTIAC (WWJ) - A 28-year-old Pontiac man has been arrested after he allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl.

Police said it happened early Monday morning at a building housing three apartment units on East Fairmount near Baldwin Road in Pontiac.

Police said a woman had left her teenage daughter alone in her boyfriend's apartment while she drove him to work.  That's when police said the suspect, who lives in another unit, broke in and attacked the girl.

Police said he punched her in the face, choked and sexually assaulted her.

Investigators said physical evidence at the scene led them to the suspect.

The girl was taken to the hospital for treatment.

No names have been released.
