Charlie Villanueva Anti-Bullying Basketball Camp 2012

Students from Wayne and Oakland Counties will participate in a one day basketball camp July 29, 2012 at the Cesar Chavez High School. The event will be hosted by Wish Upon a Teen and the Charlie Villanueva Foundation. This event is free and open to the public.

Wish Upon a Teen is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization, established in Spring of 2011, to help teenagers suffering from traumatic experiences by providing resources, time, and opportunities to teenagers recovering from life-altering traumatic experiences. Through creative and interactive social and educational events, these teens will rediscover and rebuild their self-esteem and continue the healing process towards healthy reintegration into society.

The program is designed by Wish Upon a Teen and The Charlie Villanueva Foundation. Participants for the program will be organized in cooperation with Wish Upon a Teen.

"I'm thrilled to be partnering with Charlie and his foundation to provide such an amazing experience for teens that have had the misfortune of being bullied. This will give the teens an opportunity to rebuild trust and make new friends in a safe environment while learning to play basketball," says Michelle Soto, founder of Wish Upon a Team.

"I just want to be one more advocate to help bring awareness, fun, and the love for basketball to the teens that are sometimes forgotten," says Charlie Villanueva

Several businesses and personalities will be contributing to the success of this incredible camp.
