1 Person Dead After Being Struck By Train In Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO (AP) - Authorities say a train struck someone who was walking across a trestle over the Kalamazoo River in southwestern Michigan.

The Allegan County Sherifff says that a CSX train struck the person Saturday morning around 7.

A body was recovered from the river but the victim had no identification.

Police say the Amtrak train was stopped from moving through the area after the incident. Passengers took buses to another location to catch the train.
