ALLEN PARK (WWJ) - Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford sat down with 97.1 The Ticket‘s Pat Caputo during the Lions training camp in Allen Park on Saturday.
Caputo asked Stafford what it’s like to get back into the routine of working out with teammates at camp:
“Off-season is a little tough, practicing against yourself all day, knowing you (don’t have) games coming up or anything like that,” said Stafford. “It’s nice to get back out here and build toward something.”
“Kind of understand what you need to work on day in and day out to get ready for the first one,” said Stafford.

Stafford says that since he’s been in the area for about four years now, he sees the connection between the team’s performance and the feeling and reaction of fans in the city.
“I like to give fans something to cheer about, make them happy and have a fun time on Sundays,” he said.
