Troy Police Want Help To Find Missing Man

TROY (WWJ) - Troy police are appealing to the public for help in finding a 55-year-old man missing since Friday.

Patrick Joseph Mikes was reported missing Sunday morning by his two sons, ages 16 and 21.

Mikes' sons said their father, an avid biker, left the house on Homewood Street between Long Lake and Adams, for a ride Friday evening -- and they haven't seen him since.

Troy Police Capt. Bob Redmond said there were signs of a struggle at the home.

Mikes was riding a bike like the one pictured here. His bike has not been found.

"Investigators are in the process of piecing that evidence together in an effort to determine if this assault is related to Mr. Mikes' disappearance," Redmond said.

No charges have been filed but one person was taken into custody for questioning.

Mikes (pictured above) is a white man, about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, with short gray hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt and black spandex shorts and was riding a black and red Cannondale Super 6 road bicycle.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Troy police at 248-524-3477.
