Covisint Named Leader In Cloud Identity, Access Management: Covisint, a Compuware subsidiary, was among the select companies Forrester Research Inc. invited to participate in its July Forrester Wave report, titled “The Forrester Wave: Enterprise Cloud Identity and Access Management, Q3 2012.” In this evaluation, Covisint was cited as a cloud identity and access management leader. The report, which called Covisint the “granddaddy of all cloud IAM services,” stated: “Of all companies included in this Forrester Wave, Covisint has been in the market the longest (more than 10 years), has repeatable services and offers a federation protocol converter. It is the strongest player in identity management and attestation, has extensive strong authentication capabilities and provides consumer identity management.” In this Wave, Forrester measured 15 different criteria to evaluate six cloud identity and access management vendors — researching, analyzing and scoring them. The report details how well each vendor fulfills Forrester’s criteria and where they stand in relation to each other to help security and risk professionals select the right partner for their cloud-based IAM needs. Forrester stated that “leaders in this market offer SaaS application access control and will continue to have a positive impact by expanding strong authentication, provisioning and attestation capabilities.” Covisint enables  organizations to connect, engage, and collaborate with the critical external audiences that define their success — including customers, business partners, and suppliers.
