Online Tech Announces Fall into IT Seminar at Ann Arbor Data Center: The Ann Arbor-based data center operator Online Tech Inc. has announced a "Fall into IT" seminar to be held Friday, Sept. 14, at its newest Ann Arbor Data Center, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern time. The seminar will feature four unique presentations covering hot topics -- Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environments, mHealth, mobile apps, security and compliance. This semi-annual event will also be available via live streaming video. Speakers include Tatiana Melnik, attorney at Dickinson Wright PLLC, who will kick off the seminar with "The Impact of Compliance." She will explain the increasing need for multi-compliance and the legal and regulatory impact many companies are facing. Kirk Larson, vice president and CIO at Children's Hospital Central California, will be presenting "BYOD: From Concept to Reality," detailing how he accomplished developing a secure and compliant Bring Your Own Device environment that allows users to securely interact on various devices. Chief of plastic surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Dr. Gregory Dumanian and Paul Hannon, president of SD3, will present the case study "HipaaCat - Improving Communication in Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Plastic Surgery Division with Medical Mobile Apps." Participants will learn how Northwestern Memorial Hospital worked through the thickets of encryption, HIPAA compliance, cloud, and mobile devices to improve their workflow. In addition, Online Tech will host an Invitation Only CIO Breakfast the morning of the event from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Eastern time. CIOs and IT decision makers will have the opportunity to network and share ideas for overcoming the greatest challenges facing CIOs in the past and upcoming year.
