Houtteman Wins Michigan PGA Senior Championship
CHARLEVOIX, Mich. (AP) — Lee Houtteman from the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa has won the Michigan PGA Senior Championship.
Houtteman followed up his first-round 69 with another 69 on Tuesday to go 6-under par. His play was good for a 3-shot victory at Charlevoix Country Club.
Houtteman takes home a $2,000 top prize and qualifies for the national PGA Senior Championship.
Bob Makoski and Randy Erskine both finished in second at 141.
In the 70-and-older division, Nick Berklich edged out Larry Mancour for the top prize. Berklich shot a 72, good for 152 total and a 1-shot margin.
