MOUNT CLEMENS (CBS Detroit) – Live music will continue through August in Mount Clemens as the Uptown Friday Night Concert Series returns to close out the summer.

For the next three Friday nights, bands will play at the Fountain Stage in downtown Mount Clemens.  On August 10, Soul Commission, a soul, R&B and pop duo, will perform from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Smokin’ Ash, a rock group, will be performing on August 17 and Smooth Moves, a classic rock and island tunes group, will be performing on August 24.  The show times were pushed back in order to give patrons a chance to experience the great food and visit the diverse stores downtown.

After a successful concert series last year, the Mount Clemens Downtown Development Authority and local businesses have decided to sponsor the popular event.

The Fountain Stage, where the bands will be performing, is located on Macomb Place between North Walnut and Pine Street.  Concertgoers are reminded to bring a chair.
