Re-Source Partners Moving To Troy

CLINTON TOWNSHIP -- A longtime computer and IT asset disposal company is moving from Clinton Township to Troy.

Re-Source Partners is moving from 24541 Maplehurst in Clinton Township to two locations in Troy, effective Sept. 1.

The company's processing center will be located at 1101 Allen Road in Troy, while its headquarters will be at 5700 Crooks Road, Suite 101.

Company president Mike Loria said the new locations position the company for future growth into West Michigan and other states. Also, he said, the company's leased quarters on the east side was sold, "and that jump started us."

The new processing center is about 30,000 square feet in size, up from about 25,000 square feet at the old location, while the new headquarters office is about 5,000 square feet in size.

Re-Source Partners handles about 150,000 IT assets a year, and disposes of about two million pounds of e-waste a year, Loria said. It wipes memory clean and resells IT equipment that still has value. But Loria said prices of IT gear is falling fast enough that more and more used equipment is simply going to recycling rather than being resold.
