More Than 100 Pets Available At Final Adoption Event Of Summer

DEARBORN – The Michigan Humane Society, in partnership with PetSmart and PetSmart Charities, will host the last Certified Pre-Owned Tent Event of the summer from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Taylor PetSmart, 23271 Eureka Road.

More than 100 dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and rabbits will be available for adoption from MHS and three local rescue groups during the event.

“These events are a wonderful opportunity to find your new furry best friend,” said Marie Skladd, MHS Director of Community Outreach. “We are so thankful for our partners in the rescue community, as well as PetSmart and PetSmart Charities, for helping us find more forever homes for these homeless pets!”

In addition to MHS, other participating organizations include the Friends of Dearborn Animal Shelter, What We Do is for the Love of Pets, and P.A.W.S. of Michigan. Adoption fees are set by the individual groups, and all animals have been sterilized and received age-appropriate vaccinations. Information about an individual organization’s adoption policies are available by contacting the appropriate organization.
