Police Search For Men Who Kidnapped, Shot Ypsilanti Man

SUPERIOR TWP. (WWJ) - Investigators from the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office are looking for two men they say were involved in a kidnapping and shooting.

Detectives say a 30-year old Ypsilanti man was kidnapped and then driven to the area of Ford and Northbrooke Drive in Superior Township where he was found laying on the side of the road around 1:20 p.m. Friday.

Police say the victim, who had been shot several times, is now in stable condition after receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Investigators say they aren't sure if the shooting took place somewhere else or where the man was found. Investigators say the shooting was not a random act and the victim knows the suspects.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's Deputies say incident was not a random act of violence, as it appears as if the victim knows the suspects.
