Go Back In Time At Woodward Ave Exhibit

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - The Woodward Dream Cruise, the annual celebration of all things classic cars and Woodward Avenue, is less than a week away.

And through the end of next month, you can check out some of the historic aspects of Woodward Avenue, at a museum exhibit sponsored by the Royal Oak Historical Society.

It's a show that's designed to bring back memories of cruisin' the strip, and going to places like Suzie Q, Big Boy, or Maverick's ... the historic Wigwam near Ten Mile Road or the Oak Drive-In.

Now they're all gone.

But there's a museum that brings back those memories in pictures and video that can be seen at the facility on Webster, near Crooks, in the old Royal Oak fire station.

The exhibit is called "Woodward Memories: Then and Now" and runs through the end of September.

Admission is free but they do accept donations for the Royal Oak Historical Society.
