Tigers Slammed By Rangers 8-3

ARLINGTON, Texas (WWJ/AP) - Misplays and errors set the tone as the Detroit Tigers lose to the Texas Rangers 8-3 on Sunday.

As heard on 97.1 The Ticket - the Tigers lose the series to the Rangers two-games to one and fall two games behind first place Chicago White Sox in the AL Central.

Tigers starter Rick Porcello (9-7) gave up nine hits and six runs. Miguel Cabrera had a two-run double for the Tigers.

Josh Hamilton hit his 32nd homer and drove in three runs, Yu Darvish struck out eight to aid in the Rangers win over the Tigers.

Hamilton had a two-run drive in the first inning to take the major league lead in home runs. He added an RBI single in the third to give him 99 RBIs, which is also tops in baseball.

Yu Darvish (12-8) allowed six hits and walked five in 6 2-3 innings. He snapped his two-game losing streak and helped the Rangers take two of three from the Tigers.
