Autopsy: Troy Man Died From Head Trauma

TROY (WWJ) – The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office says it has positively identified a body found in a Genessee County cornfield last week as Patrick Mikes Senior, the Troy man missing since last month.

An autopsy showed Mikes died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Mikes was reported missing by his sons on July 29, two days after they said their father went for a bike ride and never returned.

Investigators no longer believe that story, saying a DNA evidence shows Mikes was killed during an altercation in the basement of his home.

Mikes’ 21-year-old son, Patrick Mikes Jr. is currently being held without bond, accused in his father’s death.  The other son, a teen, is not a suspect.
